WhT mAkEs A gOoD sToRy?!?!?!?

A good story is one that can grasp a readers attention right from the begginging. A good story also need to be able to hold the readers attention throughout the rest of the book. When the author adds literary elements such as climax, conflict, characterization, irony, and suspense. When a story uses charaterization and describes the characters with great detail it helps the reader to become closer within the story. It allows the reader to almost get inside the charters head to hear their inner thought and feelings. If a story has a good conflict, it usually makes for a great climax. The climax of a story is the most interesting event where all of the previous events have been leading up to. My favorite elements in a story are irony and suspense. Suspense grabs the reader and makes it so they don't want to put the book down because they want to keep reading. I believe that irony always adds a little extra kick to a story and can also make a reader laugh.

in the Twilight series, Stephanie Meyer uses most of these elements to keep the reader interested. i am not a great reader or even a person who likes to read, but when i read the Twilight Series i couldnt put the books down. The author kept the story line filled with suspense and i never knew what was going to happen next. she also had mulitple conflicts throughout each book, but each book was also filled with a major conflict as well.
