Social Issues-Do Not be Daunted by the enormity..neither are you free to abandon it...

This week there was a horrendous earthquake in Haiti (look up info before you write, if you don't know anything about it).

People from all over the world are joining together to send help. 1/3 the population may need assistance, over 1/2 have been affected persoanlly. Imagine that happening in this country. People do not have access to medical help, food, water and many have lost or been separated from family.

What is the world's responsibilty? What is our responsibilty? What would you like to do? Look at the quote below, is it true? Why?

"Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it." The Talmud

I think that we should help hatti because they have nothing. It is also hard to rebuild when your government dosn't have the money to do anything. So if we help hatti in anyway even if it is just donating money or even setting up a food and water drive would help them out. At this point they don't have anything so every piece of material will help them them alot. I think our school should come together and setup a fundraiser for hatti. It would also make the people feel good about themselves knowing that they are helping people that are in need of help..

Haitian Earthquake

The Haitian earthquake was a really devastating incident to happen especially in times now days. The incident pushes the world to see how they are willing to help others. The US especially seems to be acting immediately to this pandemic. I feel it is the United States duty to step in and help these unfortunate people at there time of need. The small country of Haiti isn’t very rich or advanced in technology to begin with. The earthquake destroyed most of the medical centers that are severely needed to aid survivors. The US sees the misfortune and lack of supplies in Haiti, and we are doing a lot to help these people. I know that everyone everywhere in the US isn’t doing EVERYTHING possible to help, but from what I have seen in my community, a lot of people are working on making a difference. The news of the quake is getting out from multiple sources that I come in contact with. Some places I have heard it from are the news, commercials from Red Cross, radio stations, major websites like Facebook and YouTube, and my church. Most of these places have also included a way for me to donate money to the Haitian people or for medical supplies they need. The US military is also being sent into Haiti to find missing people, help clean up the destroyed buildings, and give support to the survivors. I have donated multiple times and continue to donate and my church and at my school where we are raising anything we can that will help the Haitian people. The quote "Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it," from The Talmud relates to the Haitian earthquake. It is great advice to aim to live by. The quote basically states not to waste time. It states the truth in how you should not waste time to grieve, but rather act out to help to overpower the grief. Act positively in response to the death of a loved one, or the destruction of your home. And to innocent bystanders, you can’t just watch these people deal with their own problems. If you were them, how would you feel if you shrugged it off and wished you good luck? It is the world’s responsibility to help these unfortunate people in any way, little or large, that they can.
i think that we should help these people in haiti because they are deeply in need of help. if something like this happened to us. we would want others to help us too. and maybe if we lead example, other countries will pitch in and help. if we all lend a hand, we can help improve the lives that were affected by the earthquake. it is very hard to rebuild a life when it has been affected in such a way where thousands of people dies and many houses destroyed. so it would be the right thing to do to help out.

social issues

Our Responsability to the people in Haiti is to do what ever we can to help them in anyway we can. Even if it is donating one dollar to redcross every little bite helps. The worlds responability to the people in haiti is much bigger everyone should be bringing supplies and food to haiti if they can afford it. Also every courty should to trying to organize fundraisers or donation boxes to whatever they organize to help the people in Haiti. The quote "Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world's grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it." The Talmud . This quote means you can't run away from your problems or the problems the world becasue no matter what they are going to stay with you until you do something about it. And fix the diaster in Haiti.

This quote is very true. It is hard to imagine what these people are going through, and we are very lucky. It may seem over whelming, but we can all help. It is obviously our responsibility as a country to help, and if you watch the news you can see the Obama is really stepping up to this responsibility. Even the little things we can do as individuals, and the things we can do as a school can make a difference. This is one of those things that you hear about, you will keep hearing about, and you can't ignore. It affects all of us.
I can't imagine what it would be like walking down the street and seeing dead bodies, buildings destroyed, and everything that I knew completely gone, but the people who were hit by the hurricane don't have to imagine. Just hearing that makes you feel sad, even if it's in a different part of the world.
I think it is so sad what has happend to Haiti. I truely feel bad because of all those people left without homes, food, cars, lost and dead pets, family members ,and friends. I believe the quote is very true. You have to live for today for you don't know what tomorow brings. Its scary sometimes to think that something like what happend in Haiti could happen in a few minutes, months, days, years to us or anywhere else. You can't spend your time thinking about that because no one knows what tomorow will bring you. What you can do is help any way you can today or soon. Some people aren't effected emotionly and physically about what happend. I don't know how they do that, but some people do. I plan on helping out a little like donated 10dollars from my phone, also maybe help out with projects they are doing in school.

Haiti

i believe when a person needs help it is common courtesy to help them, when a country is in need of help a single person may not be enough. i think that we should come together in order to help Haiti or any other countries that ever need our aid. we shouldn't limit what we can do to assist but we should do everything we can. If it was our country in need we would be grateful for any help we were given. i am willing to put whatever extra time i have into raising awareness of the world around us to my peers. I truly believe that if people knew about the hardships that exist in this world and that not all people have life as well as Americans; people would want to help. i will spread the word and make posters to help support fundraisers. Maybe even put in time to collect donations.

to me this quote is a perfect example of how humans should be. don't push the hardships of the world aside and wait for someone else to do something about it. take responsibility now and do what you can to help. you don't have to help, but don't pretend the problems don't exist.

responsible? or not?

i believe it is our responsibility to help the haiti or other countries when there is a natural disaster. other countries helped us when we had problems like i the ice storm and 9/11. so, now is the time to give back and help other countries. here in averill park i think our responibility is to raise money to give and help the people in haiti that are in desperate need of it. i would like to do anything i can. im all for helping the people, no matter what we choose to do. i like giving back and the feeling i get from it. and i think this is THE perfect way to give back and get that feeling. also, we should live life to the fullest and live one day at a time. because with a blink of an eye something like this could happen, and your life could be gone. when i look at the capital city port au prince and the destruction the earthquake has caused my heart drops. i feel horrible for the people that have to go through that today. i cant imagine how people that loose their family members feel seeing a white blanket over them, laying on the ground. im heartbroken, and i feel for these people.
Personally I feel that it is our responsability not as Americans but as fellow humans to care fo one another in times of hardships. Every person should contribute or at least aknoledge in some way whether it be in a group or individual donations. I hope to get a group of people to collect donations and try a thing similar to Relay for Life in which people walk or run the track for a given amount of time to show we care about Haiti.

Haiti

I think that everyone should take part in helping Haiti.I think Obama's idea to partner with other nations to help out,is a great idea.Personaly 100 million dollars is a little much,i mean we still have things to fix in the states...New Orleans for example.Instead of just giving that much money we should have donations and different things to contribute. The eathrquake,i heard was a level 7 earthquake so they definetly need as much help as they can get and even if it isn't on our territory its a nice to help out.Especially when there are people from Haiti living in te United States.

The quote to me means that if things like this happen you should just live for the moment and not look at the big picture. It isn't up to you to fix everything but don't just forget about it either..it still needs to be solved somehow even if not by you.

Hope for Haiti :]
the worlds responsibility is to take care of eachother and when disaster stricts to not sit around and do nothing. our responsibility is to support the people who are helping others. I would like to see this earthquake disaster fixed. The quote is true. its true because it is saying that peolpe dont have to help but they shouldnt completly ignore what happened.

Haiti

Hi Mrs.G it is Josh
I only know where haiti is because of spanish we learned most of the places in Central America. The principle said it was going to be a 10 to 14 mouth recoverey.
I think that the world's responsibility's is to help support them and help them out as much as they can. I think that all country's do feel sorry for Haiti becasue they just got over a brutal hurricane season. The least that the world cacn do is send some food and clean water for them to survive this. Our responsibilitys are just to do whatever we can to do to suport them, every effort counts. what we would like to do is do some sort of fund raiser to help them in any way. even if it is giving them blankets ect. I think that this is true because if we turn our back is unexceptable, but we cant fix the whole thing in hati. but just doing a little bit to help is the best that we can do.

haiti disaster

I think what happened in haiti is a tragedy. Natural disasters can't be stopped, and a lot of the time they cannot be predicted. Even though there is nothing we can do to prevent an earthquake, I believe everyone should help. The entire world should get involved in this; any country that is able. We all need to help out; the smallest donation or action can do a lot of good.
I also think we need to raise awareness because even though this is huge, there are some people who don't know the story, and especially that they don't know how to help once they find out. We need to find out information about websites and ways to donate and even start or help charities. The world's responsibility is to get military forces and medical people from their countries to go to Haiti and start helping. I'm happy that the U.S. was there right away.
Everyday people should help aswell; there are many ways that they all can donate, and no matter how many people are in debt or jobless, they should donate as much or as little as they can. I also think that celebrities are obligated to help. I know that there are many celebrities that are helping, but they can do a lot more. The Yankees donated a half of a million dollars to the cause, but lets face it-thats nothing. One players net worth is like, 10 million dollars and these multi-million/billionaires are being selfish (some of them) so I think these people with more money should do more because they can.
The quote is true true, because we absolutely need to do something and now. We cannot ignore it. I would like to donate money to help.
With Haiti in major crises does the World step in or watch it struggle to get back up and under controlled. In my pinion it depends when other countries should step in to help other countries. When it comes to natural disaters, it's the right thing to do, to step in and try to help out. If people are dying and there's no way for their own country help them, other countries should help out. Natural disasters are things no one can conrtol and its not a countries fault when they're suddenly struck by a harmful earth quake or some kind of storm. I believe that another country should step in but it is in no way the other countries duty to step in, it is simply their choice to help.
It's the other factors like political things in which I think other countries should not step in. If they are asked maybe they can do a little but to completely come in and help a country that just doesnt want to be helped is never a good idea.

Haiti

i think that we should send aid to the country and send search and rescue to Haiti. we should also send food and medical aid to Haiti so we can help the people who live there. i think that we should send money to the people who can we not find their family in there town and see if there are in there house and try to find there family's.I think the should send the army national guard to help find the people who are lost in the rubble under the collapsed house and other buildings.

Haiti

I think the earthquake in Haiti was terrible. One of my friends was adopted from Haiti when she was a baby, so it's scary to think "What if she was still there?". It makes me think about what all the children and babies in adoption agencies are going through and if they're okay. It upsets me most when really young peoples lives are cut short. Imagining something like that happening in the United States is pretty scary.
I think other countries in the world should definitely help out. We would want help if we were in that situation, so we should do everything we can for the people in Haiti who really need it. I think the quote is pretty true. Many countries see the hardship and want to help even though they aren't forced to. The quote basically says you don't have to help, but you can't just ignore something like that.

Haiti

I think we should help. If not for the people of Haiti, for our American workers who live there, or for our own people who have members of families there, or even a whole entire family. I would like to do some type of fundraiser for the people of Haiti because they desperately need aid. Also I'd like to think if we lead by example, other countries will help us in a time of need. It is our responsibility as people sharing the same earth to help eachother.

social issues - earthquake in haiti

I realize how devistating and upsetting the earthquake in Haiti is, however it is just another natural disaster that happened in the world. I dont feel its anyones responsibilty personally, not unless they make it their responsibilty to help them out. I would like to take on that responsibilty, and help them in some way. whether thats raising money, collecting food, collecting other supplies, clothes or whatever needs to be done. The best way to approach this would be to do something through the school. There are many kids here that are willing to help.
I do feel like the quote is true. i feel this way because, i think it sends the message that we should take action. But not because its our job to do it, but because we cant just walk away and not do something. I think people are more willing to help out and do something when they aren't obligated to do so. If they choose to help, they feel more accomplished and not like they just completed a job assignment.

The Earthquake in Haiti

I don't no much about Haiti, the only stuff i heard was the information today on the radio station my dad was listening to. I know that most of the buildings where knocked down because they where not built to with stand the earthquake, and all the ones that did stay up during the earthquake they fell during the after shock or are unstable.
the earthquake in Haiti was very devastating and terrible, people are with out there homes and food or water, there are people injured with no hospitals to go to. I think we should do some thing like that happened in new york we would expect other people to help us, and imaging being with no help in a terrible situation like that. I think that we should send care packages and money to Haiti.
the quote when I read it gave me goosebumps just like when I read the genocide books it is that powerful and what happened is just as terrible.

Eat My Dust…The drawing that I picked is a drawing of a late model Ford Mustang or a late model Chevrolet Camaro. (www.cheeseheadchoppers.com/muscle-car-art-ill...) In the drawing I see a car that is doing a burnout and that the motor is jutting out of the hood of the car. In the back ground there is a skull of an animal. The picture looks like it is based in the dessert. The drawing might even be in a canyon because it has the mountains or something like that in the back ground. The motor has the belt going 100 miles per hour and the blower is all out. The maximum horse power is being pumped to the back wheels. If you look at the clouds in the back, one of them looks like a mustang or some kind of horse. I think that the horse cloud in the back ground is a symbol of the pony wars between Chevy, Ford, Dodge and all other muscle cars. In my personal opinion I think that the horse in the clouds is a Ford Mustang running away from the Chevy Camaro. The cactus in the picture may also be saying stick it to the Ford Mustang or it just may there because the picture is drawn in the desert.. In the drawing the car is in black and white and the people who drew the drawing put there logo in color. I do not understand the reason for the large logo right in the middle of the drawing but I guess they wanted to make sure their company got noticed. If this car was a real car I would buy it in a heart beat. That car would be one fast car. If I took it out on the street but I would probably get a ticket!

this is an picture of the apollo 7 space ship going into outer space.. what i think is interesting is it was the first manned spaceship that was in the apollo program.. this was also the first three american space mission.it flew low around the Earth so its crew could track life support systems.. after apollo had landed two weeks later the apollo 8 sapce craft was sent up to outerspace.. thats why i picked this picture because i think that it is very cool how much technology there is..

SS/GaNo

I really don’t like to read. So I guess if I have to read, I’d rather read short stories because there isn’t as much to read. Also you get to the end faster. Sometimes in a longer book I get lost and it just takes me a long time to read it. At least in the short story, the author gets right to the point.

I remember reading “The Interlopers”. I liked this book because the author kept it interesting and he gave a lot of details. An example of this is when they were standing under the big tree and it fell down. I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened to them. I wanted to make sure that the character I liked (I can’t remember his name right now) didn’t get hurt.

What's Your Business - Response

In the movie Grand Torino with Clint Eastwood, Eastwood stood up for his neighbors. He saved them from the neighborhood gang. At first Eastwood didn’t like his neighbors. They were Vietnamese and he was racist. He hated the neighbor boy more when the boy tried to steal his Grand Torino. The boy’s mother and grandmother made the boy work for Eastwood to make up for trying to steal his car. After a while, Eastwood started to like the kid and his family. He realized they were good people just trying to live their lives.

When the gang came after his family, Eastwood helped them. He didn’t have to but he knew it was the right thing to do. He didn’t want the neighborhood living in fear of these punk kids. He wouldn’t let them take over the neighborhood. In the end, Eastwood died when the gang kids shot him. He got shot on purpose so that these kids would be put into jail and the neighborhood would be saved.

If more people cared and took care of each other then the gangs couldn’t take over. People wouldn’t be scared to stick up for themselves because they would know that other people would be there to back them.

Free Choice

If I could have any vehicle I wanted, I would get a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. This Camaro would have a Yanko sport package on it. It would have black leather seats that were both heated for winter and cooled so you don’t burn your legs in the summer. I would have the body painted midnight blue with 2 white racing stripes up the hood, over the roof and down the trunk.

The tires would be street legal slicks mounted on 17” heavy duty chrome wheels for the rear tires. The fronts would be the same only they’d be on 15” wheels so that the back end would be slightly higher than the front.

The motor would be a 454 V-8 big block engine with 2 super chargers. It would crank out 500 horsepower and go from 0 mph to 60 mph in 9 seconds flat. I would have a magna-flow exhaust system installed to add more horsepower and to make it sound great when driving around town.

The first place I’d drive my dream car to is my Uncle Tom’s house. He’s a mechanic who loves classic cars. We’d have a blast checking it all out and taking out for a test drive!

My free choice

For my free choice I decide to write about my birthday and thanks given. They are right next to each other, which I like because I get to be with all my family and everything on my birthday to. Its November 29th, I am going to be 15, however I wish I was turning 16 so I could drive but that’s next year. I think it pretty cool that I’m the youngest in the grade and also that I am going to be almost done with my first semester in collage and still be 17.
My sister Amanda and I have birthdays three days apart and we normally have a birthday party together it been like that since we where younger. We got a hang on blowing out the candle at the same time and we now have a system on how we open presents. I have to say the present part is my favorite it like seeing everything. I don’t know what I want though and every one is asking and I am no help to them because I am unsure. I know I want a Pandora bracelet but my mom is getting me that I already know.
I like that my cousins from Virginia and are going to stay at my house for thanksgiving which I like but it stinks cause I have to give up my room and sleep in my sisters room. But I am okay with it because her bed is really comfy anyway. We all have a tradition all the slyers do the troy turkey trot together the morning of thanksgiving, last year we made T- shirts, I don’t think we are making t-shirts this year though.

This image was made to show the hardships children went through as laborers during the industrial revolution. It shows how children were used to fit into tight places that adults couldn’t which were usually dangerous. The image shows children in a filthy coal mine pushing a cart of coal in extremely unsanitary conditions. The author’s motivation for creating this drawing was to show how wrong it was for children to work several hours of hard labor and filthy conditions for little pay. He basically wanted to show the hardships of children during this time period. Many children did jobs such as this so they could afford food for their family while owners of the coal mine or factory hoarded their money for themselves. Other jobs children did during this time period included fitting into machines in factories to fix them which was extremely hazardous and many children were killed by or crippled by the machinery. The intended audience for viewing of this image is anybody interested in what life was like for children living during the Industrial Revolution. The author wishes for the viewer of this drawing to notice the lack of space the children have to crawl and push a cart through. He also emphasizes the strain put into transporting the coal cart uphill by the stance that the children moving it are in. During the Industrial revolution working conditions for children were unsanitary and hazardous and the creator of this drawing wishes to show that through this work of art.

The story behind this picture is sad because it probably was a fat guy who took the picture and he was hungry. The story goes as a fat guy who loves doughnuts but he becomes to fat from them and he went to the doctor and he said if he ate one more he will die. This fat guy was upset but he went on a diet and two years later he is skinny. He decided after those two years he needs one last doughnut and it was his last one because he died from it. He died because he was allergic to the jelly inside
Winters

These squirrels are fighting over whos nuts are whos. They were all friends in the begining. They were all storing for the winter. Two of them forgot where they put there nuts. They found eachothers and argued about whos is whos. They each pulled out there lightsabers and fought. this picture was taken in the middle of the fight. unfortionatly near the end The one on the right died. He had his head cut off but the one in the middle. Near the end two humans came over and tried to break it up. The squirrels were out of control they got there fingers cut off and went home crying and died of depression. The squirrels got other squirrels to join and fight. eventually they took over the world. They made humans get nuts and store them for the winter. During the winter a guy named greg took a nuke and shuved it up the king squirrels ass. it Blew up and destroyed the squirrels race. Then the humans took back over the world. The End.,

In this artwork I think the artist’s motivation was his feelings. To me, this sculpture shows that this person was going through a rough time and needed to express or get their feelings out. The intended audience would be both little kids and adults. Little kids because the sculpture is made out of legos and legos are usually meant to be played with by little kids. But adults because it shows a form of hurt, missing or loving someone that only adults could fully understand. I think people are supposed to notice the person ripping open the chest, this because it is the center point in the picture. Also, it is a huge hole that is darker than the rest of the sculpture. I think people are not really supposed to notice the background because it is just white and boring. Using a white background makes the people observing look at the sculpture in more depth then they would if there was a background to look at. The artist used a vibrant yellow hoping to catch the looker’s eyes even if they walk by the sculpture. I’m not quite sure if there is a theme in this picture. But if I had to guess it would be that someone (the artist) is going through a rough time. I think the rough time has something to do with love; this is because the person is ripping their chest which is over their heart. So, I believe this person’s heart is hurting and/or in pain. So, they need to let their feelings out into the air and let people know how they are feeling.

The amazing flower

This piece of art was inspired by a woman named Lindsey that became lost in the rain forest. While she was on a tour of the rain forest with her family on a unstable boat. Everything was going good until the water started to pick up and all of a sudden there was a huge water fall right below the boat. Everyone was screaming like mad men. When all of a sudden the boat hit the water and it shatter into a million pieces and Lindsey went flying deep into the rain forest. When she hit the ground she hit her head on a rock and was knocked unconscious. When she woke up she didn’t know what happened or what happened or who she was so she began hugging a tree thinking it was her husband. After she was done hugging the tree she began walking in the forest and she found a banana tree and was hungry so she grabbed a banana from the tree and beg eating after she realize it wasn’t ripe she spit it out. Then she began walking some more and saw this breath taking flower and her memory and everything came back to her. She began walking through the forest towards were she was flung from. After 30 minutes she found an opening and that opening was a river she saw her husband laying on part of the boat sleeping. So she ran over to him and woke him up and they were so happy that they were speechless. And they lived happily ever after the end. The image i tried to upload didn't work

There was a town that was called “the red town.” There was a young girl named Rosalinda. She lived in a decent house on the riverbank. That family was the only family that lived near the riverbank because their was a story that the water is a wash of reds and yellows because it is poisonous and if you go in or anywhere near it you had the risk of dying. Rosalinda’s parents never let her in the water but aloud her to go down the bank and watch the flowing reds and yellow shades flow down the river. Rosalinda would go down every morning to watch the colors of the sunrise cast on the red river making a rainbow of colors.
In the flooding season their house is always in risk of being damaged by the red river. This year her parents decided that they wanted to get away from the river and lived in a little house in a new neighborhood a couple miles away. Rosalinda did not want to leave the river, but she new that she had to because her parents have already made up their mind. The morning that they planned to leave Rosalinda went down to the river one last time, and when she went down, their was a beautiful flower on the shore bed and it was the same colors as the river, the reds, oranges, and yellows in the flower looked like the flower grew out of the water. Rosalinda took the flower to always remember the river and all of the mornings she has spent.

Holidays

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I enjoy Thanksgiving because I get to see a lot of family that I genrally do not see much. For instance I see my cousins Tracy and Eric. Tracy is in college so we obviously don't see much of her because she is all the way up in Brockport, near Niagra Falls. And Eric is like, twenty three so he is married and is off on his own way. Plus at Thanksgiving, my aunt makes really good pie. Christmas is the best because we get school off for a while, I see a lot of family, and well, there are presents. I never ask for much because I don't need anything and the few things I waant I'll ask for but I never get mad or dissapointed if I don't get everything. That isn't what Christmas is about. I can't wait.

Art

My picture is very creative. My artist is very funny but at the same time very risky. I injoyed his masterpiece.

Cars and cars were turning onto his road at night with their lights on and every night he would wake up and get no sleep. So the next day he goes and get he cat fired for sleeping on the job. So he made this artpiece so before the cars got to his street they will stare at the art and go past the road. That night after the art peice he got a good night sleep. That morning he woke up and his car got taken away. But he called his car insurence and they gave him a million dollor car for the miss understanding. Then he went past his work to go pick up his dog and his ex boss saw him and hired him back. The END.

Child Labor

The photo that I have chosen has to do with the child labor during the industrial revolution. During this time period, countries were industrializing themselves and this brought many changes to everyone living in those countries. People moved from living on farms to living in large cities where numerous factory jobs were available. Space was tight for these families and soon money was tight too. Since a factory job was paid very little, large families with lots of children had to resort to having their children work for extra money. The factories liked having children working in them for many reasons. First off, children didn’t need to be paid as much as an adult worker. That saved the factory money by paying them less. Also, children were usually quite small. This allowed them to get into tight spaces to fix a machine, or pack many children together on an assembly line. With all the children beginning to work, guards had to watch the children to make sure they were doing there work at a steady pace. What they did was whip the children to keep them awake and working. The tall man with the hat may have been a child guard seeing he is with the children in this factory watching them. There were seldom laws and regulations that helped the children out in the early revolution. As time went on of course things have changed. The artist I believe took this photo because they were trying to protect these children. They were trying to expose the harsh conditions these children were going through. By exposing the truth people can see how bad things really are with photographic proof. People feel sad looking at something like this, and someone might actually want to do something to stop it. The audience in this time period is mostly the upper to middle class people that are factory owners. They were too busy playing games and getting rich while more than half of the population that were the lower class were working in unsafe factories in order to receive little pay they fed there family with.

Picasso

I do not think Picasso had a particular theme. I'm not even sure if he was mentally stable. If there was a theme it would apparently be a painting of a woman. It could even be a portrait he did for a girl in his own style. His style is called cubism, and it is a very abstract style. Picasso was the first to truly embrace this style and put his emotions into his work. I think he was tired of the same old types of paintings and decided he needed a new style. One that has never been seen before, a style that was revolutionary and bold. I honestly have no idea how in the heck he could come up with a style like cubism. It seems so random and not even thought out. Like he just started painting and was like well I guess that will work for today. I think his intended audience was people just like him, but also people who reject his ideas to prove that he can be a great artist and that just because his style is different that doesn't make it horrible.

art

http://hightouchconcept.files.wordpress.com/2007/06/mc_escher_relativity_623x600.jpg

The piece of art I am responding to is “Crazy Stairs” by MC Escher. Escher is probably my favorite artist because I like his style of dream-like images. “Crazy Stairs” is a lithograph made in 1953. There are so many things going on in the picture, it boggles your mind. Pretty much, there are a bunch of stair cases in the picture, and they are all going in different directions. There are stairs facing upward, and stairs that are upside down. The other thing in the picture is a human figure that is scattered randomly throughout the picture much like the stairs. The thing about this figure though is that it is sulking about in a monotonous manner. To me, I think the person is depressed, and is going through a never-ending pattern (significance of the stairs). My thoughts on why the stairs and the person are placed in the most obscure fashion is that there are so many things going on in that persons life that everything builds up, and he cant comprehend anything. The only thing he can do is think of everything as being crazy, and that his life is spiraling out of control. I think there can be two different moods of this picture. First, it could be implying a happy mood because the stairs are bouncing all over the place in a fun way. The picture could also give off a sad or lethargic vibe because of the boredom of the mysterious figure.

Thanksgiving

Hi it is Josh. I have thanksgiving at my house every year. My dad and mom make most of the food. At first my mom’s and dad’s side of the family came put now it is only my dad’s side. I have no clue why but that is the way it is and every year my dad and mom start the day before cooking, cleaning, and shopping for food. The next day we turn the TV on but nobody watch’s it except for a minute or two. Then we all get ready for them to arrive at 10:00 but they always arrive at 12:30 (they live only two hours away). Then me and my cousin play video games. My sister cries (because she is little or it was because I did something). Then my mom yells at me because we are playing video games or because my sister is crying. Then we eat I always eat my dads turkey, stuffing and homemade bread. Then for desert I eat my brownies that I make. After that they take 10 minutes just to back out of my drive way (witch is not that big). Then we go inside and find something that they forgot. That is how my thanksgiving goes every year. But I love it.

Feast of Herod

The piece of art that I chose is by the famous Donatello (not the ninja turtle.) It is a revolutionary work of art for the time period it was made in. It’s a bronze plate with people eating. It’s called a “feast” but a viewer can plainly see that there is no food on the table. There is one person kneeling with a platter of food trying to give it to a person who looks like a noble. The noble doesn't seem to want the food though. He also seems like he is appauled that the servant is offering him food. The people on the right side of the table look scared. Everyone except the noble being offered food looks poor. They all look scared and hungry. I have no idea what this means. The plate itself looks advanced for it's time. It has a distinct foreground and backround. This gives the plate depth other than it being three demensional.

what is the art saying to the viewer?

I chose the oil painting located on this website.http://tommcmahon.typepad.com/.a/6a00d834515db069e2011168456216970c-800wi.It is an oil painting, made in china. In the oil painting there are a young women and a young child sitting outside on the grass. The young child is naked. The young woman is holding some kind of fruit in her hand, maybe a peach.
I believe the artist is trying to show us a mother – daughter relationship. Like, the special bond that they share. That it is a beautiful thing. I think this because the painting is very bright and has a happy feeling to it. The setting contributes to the painting’s mother –daughter relationship. This is because the young women and child are in a secluded area. The fact that they are alone in the painting, I think intensifies there relationship.
This painting I believe could be for any audience. It’s a painting open for interpretation. Like, it does not clearly state certain emotions. Each audience will probably have their own view and ideas about what they think this painting represents. The younger the audience the less analyzed the interpretation would be.

what is the art work saying to a viewer?

I picked a piece of art work on the website http://blog.smithsonianchannel.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/1934.jpg . This picture is by Robert Brackman and the name of the painting is Somewhere In America. In the picture there is a little girl and she is sitting at a table holding a stuffed animal. She looks sad and like she was just crying. This painting was made during the depression, and shows the how these troubles affected everyone. In the painting everything has a dark tint and kind of looks depressing. This painting could be for any age, it’s good because it shows the emotions clearly and you don’t have to dig to deep to figure out what the meaning of the picture is.

free choice

I am going to write about Thanksgiving. Personally, I think Thanksgiving is a pretty awsome holiday. Its a time to get together with family, give thanks for your life, but must importantly, its a time to eat. A time to eat so much you will have to loosen your belt and un-button your pants. A time to eat so much, your stomach and the rest of your digestive organs will hate you for the rest of the year, and will always fear the dreadful day of thanksgiving. At my house, there isnt really a tradition or anything, but usually we just cook a bunch of foods and eat them. There is one unique dish that my mom makes, and that is pearled onions. I used to always hate those things up until a few years ago, now I think they are pretty good. I have to say my favorite food though is the yams or sweet potatoes, whatever you want to call them. They are so yummy. After that, I would have to say that I like the stuffing. I think that stuffing is actually the key to a thanksgiving meal. Just think about your thanksgiving, and picture it without stuffing. Not good right? Well the eating part of thanksgiving really is great, but the holiday actually is meaningful. To me, I just like to give thanks for my life, and try to enjoy it.

READ the post.

I found that with the Greatest Fear post many of you didn't even reread the post. Even though I went over it in class (big screen) I had people telling me things they were afraid of. Totally missed the point.

At this point...at the end of the first marking period, I want you think about what you earned and why. Honestly, I found a lot of slacking in some of you. I also found several people took advantage of me, didn't do full assignments and blamed me, but didn't make it up. I found many students missed deadlines and then just put papers on my desk, no apologies or explanations. And even more disappointing actions.

I am hoping that this second quarter you all step up your game and show more strength of character and more respect for me, as well as yourself.

So now onto the questions part of this is blog. Free choice. Write about anything you want. A news event. An event in your life. An upcoming event (Thanksgiving, birthday--Happy birthday Casey! etc) You may also write something creating, descriptive.

Take this seriously. Your responses should be written in a word document and pasted in...check your word count. You should be at least 100. More for higher grade possibilities.

Enjoy your weekend.

...

You’re one of the nicest teachers in this whole school, and you give us students: breaks all the time and you always try to help us out the best that you can.. So I think it’s very rude that some people took advantage of you the first quarter, and decided to slack off quite a bit. Hopefully people will pull it together the second quarter and work much harder. You asked us what grade we think we deserve to receive the first quarter and why we think we deserve that grade.. Well I think I deserve an A, like somewhere in the 90’s, because I think I work very hard in this class, and I always do my homework in this class when I’m supposed to, and I’m pretty sure that I’m not missing any work in this class. Now to the other thing you asked us to write about: a free choice, anything we want to write about; a news event, an event in our life, or an upcoming event.. Well I’m going to write about CHRISTMAS! Christmas is definitely one of my favorite holidays, and not because you get a lot of presents, but because it’s a wonderful time when you spend the whole day with your whole family, and have a huge Christmas dinner of cooked ham, baked buns, fruit, sparkling cider, and a bunch of other stuff. I love the smell of the Christmas tree in the morning, and I love when my mom puts Christmas music on while my brother, her, and I all decorate the tree together, and enjoy each others company. Those are the moments in my life that I live for. Holidays are the best with my family, because we’re all together celebrating the holiday.. I do get kind of sad around the holidays though, because my grandfather isn’t here anymore, because he died, but my mom always comes up with a way to make me feel better when I’m down.. You should always spend the holidays with your family, even if you don’t get along with them, because no-one lives forever, and you should try to spend as much time with them as you can before they die.. They could be here today, and gone tomorrow.. That’s why I always tell my mom I love her every time I leave her and go somewhere else, you wouldn’t want to say something mean to them, or be on bad terms with them the last time you see them, and then they die.. That would be horrible! Anyways, I wanted to say to Mrs. Gaboury that I think this is really cool, that our class has our own blog site.. I enjoy doing these blogs, and it’s fun to express your ideas and thoughts, and have everyone see what they are. Good job at making this blog site Mrs. Gaboury 

i know my grades were not that great because i was slacking. for the second marking period i will try to do a lot better. i will do the work and try to get a good grade on it and not hand in something that is shitty like a lot of my work i handed in this time.

Zach Winters

I am looking forward to get together with my large extended family for Thanksgiving this year but around now i start missing soccer. Since fall soccer has just ended and indoor won't start until January I am extremely bored at my house. I know that between this time I'm going to gain weight since I usually lose weight from fall soccer then regain it just a couple months after. This drastically effects my play because my weak point has always been my endurance when it comes to running and gaining wait will only make it worse. I sometimes run on the treadmil but I can't wait for indoor soccer to start because I get to hang out with my friends while playing the sport I love.
My extended family on my mt to see on my moters side is pretty large. At Thanksgiving dinner I get to see all my cousins, aunts, and uncles who I only get to see about three or four times a year. With the large amount of cousins of all ages we usually get a fun game of tag or something else fun for everyone. Thanksgiving is special for me because I get to see all my cousins.

thanksgiving.

I love waking up to the smell of turkey on thanksgiving morning. Or seeing my family all together for the first time I'm awhile. Everyone seems so happy to be with each other, or maybe it's just because they get to feast! I rarely see my family so it's great when I get to hangout with my cousins. The food is absolutely amazing! Turkey, Mashed potatoes, Corn, and a lot more other good foods. My favorite part is when I get to line up and pile all the delicious foods on my plate. But, this thanksgiving I won't be doing any piling on my plate. It's not the greatest idea to feast the day before you go back to basketball practice. The day after we do an extreme amount of running. Now, I'm not complaining about running. I love running, but not the day after thanksgiving or Christmas. Basketball is a fun sport, but when you have to run four quarters, or 11 seconds down an back after eating A LOT you'll be hurting. So, this thanksgiving when people all around the U.S. are feasting I'll be sitting home eating one piece of turkey and no pie.

THANKSGIVING

One of my absolute favorite holidays is Thanksgiving! Quite possibly it could be from all the food. Just that time of year gets to me. The leaves are all colored, apple picking, the pumpkin patch, soccer finishing up, and the annual turkey trot! Every year for the past 3 or 4 years now, I have been running in the 5k turkey trot on thanksgiving morning. I think that makes me feel a lot better that night when I am stuffing my face with turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and the assortment of varies pies. Usually I have a rather different thanksgiving routine. On Wednesday night, our mom’s side would gather at my grandmother’s house and eat dinner that night. The next day (Thanksgiving) would run the 5k, and then we would drive for 3 hours in the car to New Hampshire so that we could have dinner with my dad’s side. After we ate and conversed for a while, we would wake up early the next morning and begin our Christmas shopping very early the next morning. We usually stayed in New Hampshire for a few days until we went back home and had some more turkey day leftovers.
there is this event that me and my entire family have every year it is when me and my whole family get together and we have thanksgiving dinner...there is always a full house at my aunt terrys and after everyone eats theres a huge game of football. everyone plays and we all have a good time hanging out with each other. we have alot of fun when we go up there....

This quarter

Hi this is molly in case you didn’t know .This blog I’m going to write about how I think I did on the first quarter and how I think I can do better. This first quarter I did all of my assignments but I did hand in one late because I wasn’t listening for when it was do my bad. Although I did all my assignments I think I could have done better on them because I do everything last minute and I rush through it so I can get it done and over with. But I also play a sport every season so I get home late on every game day and when we have late practices so it is harder for me to get it done and done well. But this next quarter I’m going to get my assignments done early so I don’t have to rush through them when I get home late on a game day. That is my goal for this next quarter. Also I think I can do a lot better on the blog because I do them to get them over with and I don’t really take time to understand the meaning behind the blogs and that is another thing I’m going to improve on.

This quarter.

I think for this first quarter that I didn’t put my all into this quarter because I was just getting the hang of everything; I also had a fall sport so it was a lot harder than most people to get homework done when you get home at eight at night. I think that i did a half hearted job was because it’s the beginning of the school year, and theirs a lot going on. Besides that I found that I tried my best this quarter to get everything on time and if I was absent to get everything done in the time span I was given. In blogs I tried to write as much as I could and tried to put a lot of thought into the questions to make a longer response than I usually do. I tried to up my game a little in blogs... I am positive that the second quarter I am going to try a lot harder and keep myself focused on my grades and read more. And of course extend my writing abilities. I really want to be on top of everything this year so I have nothing to worry about. I am going to study for all of the tests in English and make sure I put my all into writing a good essay, because essay’s are probably my weakness this year.

Follow Your Conscience

As time has proceeded, I feel that people have really stopped caring. When we read about history, we hear of how everyone during the war put in efforts for their country. I know this isn’t completely related, yet I feel it is an example of how much people were involved with one another like a big family. Now days, we hear terrible and shocking stories especially this one particularly. A girl getting gang raped outside her school dance? What couldn’t possibly be worse is the fact that bystanders watched it happen and didn’t go call for help or even try to help them. No matter who is getting teased, bullied, raped, beaten, or any type of abuse DOESN’T deserve it. Say the gang who raped that poor girl. No matter how mad many, many people are at them they don’t deserve to be under anything so horrid. Maybe a few years in jail none the less.
I think that as a planet, we need to step together and watch each others back. In today’s time, no one trusts anyone else. I know people are protective but we need to trust each other to make this thing work. I would think that this whole eco-friendly thing about “going green” would help everyone come together more! I mean it’s starting to join us together under a common interest to make this world healthier and last us longer.
I’m getting off topic here, but anyways, I am generally saying that we need to stand up for others. We can’t be afraid to speak up against something. Many times people are just too scared to speak up, and they could be right! For example my friend was afraid to speak up in chemistry class, and the one time they decided to, they were correct! The same thing can go for in justice around the world. We need to help each other out because none of us can do it alone. Everyone needs help just admit it. And with the limited amount of time we have in this world, I would want the most help I can receive. If you see a situation, simply put yourself in as the person being treated badly. That hopefully should be all the advice you need.

What's your business?

I noticed recently in the news a disturbing trend or maybe it's just that few stories have recently made headlines...but it seems that people are sitting back and allowing bad things to happen. Bystanders are doing nothing when really, really bad people are doing bad things to other people. In CA a young girl was gang raped and there was a group of bystanders who watched as she was beaten and raped..at a high school dance. There was also a story of a young boy who was lit on fire because he owed money.

In the book Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, Clarisse discusses with Montag how desensitized young people have become, how the race cars with total disregard for others, kill one another etc.

Is what Bradbury wrote about happening? What is our responsibility toward one another? Should we be 'our brother's keeper'? Should we take care of one another, even people we don't personally know? Should we get involved in other people's business? Why don't we? Have you ever stepped in the middle of some injustice you saw happening? Have you ever spoken up for a group of people you may not belong to, but felt were injuriously being maligned? How do you feel when you speak up for someone? How do you feel when you don't? What injustice gets you riled? If you don't have a personal experience to recall, can you think of a movie, song, news event where someone stood up against others, became more than a bystander to an injustice witnessed and became a person of action?

Be sure to write this in word, save it to your file, post and check to make sure it posted.

Enjoy your weekend.

Short Stories..

I do like certain short stories. I think a short story is good if it tells the story good and if the ending isnt ridicusly stupid and makes no sense. I also hate when the stories end and they leave you wondering what happened or what will happen next. But sometimes thats good because it gives you a chance to be creative and use your imagination. You can make up multiple endings to the story if you wanted to. In the Lady and the tiger, i liked it but i didnt think it was the best. The ending could of been anything and we will never really know what will happen, which sucks because the story made great points to what she was thinking to do. The short story The Most Dangerous Game was good. I thought that it had good and interesting events in it, and when you read the story you didnt know if he was going to get killed or not. I also thought the ending was good because I didnt know what was going to happen. As for Gano, i kinda like it. I just think its hard at first because i have no clue what my story is going to be about. But hopefully the ideas will arrive and i can write a good story soon.
I feel it is my job and every bodies job as a student to look out for my other schoolmates. I don't see things going on in Averill Park as horriffic as lighting people on fire or rape amongst the student body happening, but some people in school lack morals and do stupid things for a rediculous or no reason. Even if two people don't know each other on a personal level they should look out for each other if they notice a problem with the other. Sometimes people don't stick up for others because they feel they too will be put down and made fun of. Once I stuck up for my friend who was being made fun of and I was later made fun of just for being his friend. I did't understand it at all or why people thought me being his friend made me a loser. when I speak up for someone I feel good even if I get made fun of myself, because if people think standing up for somebody they make fun of makes you a target then maybe they should look back at who really is the loser.
When I read about these types of incedents that happen, i first feel so bad for their family and of course the person that has been hurt in any way. I think that our responsibility's to one another is if you see someone in need of help, go help them even if it is just getting someone off the persons back. I personally like the idea of brothers keepers i think is such a good idea, but in reality i doubt that people will actually go threw with it becasuse some people, ( like me) get cought up in the moment at times and regret helping that person or people later that day, saying to yourself, 'why did i let that happen, i could have helped and that would have never have happened.' i think that even though, you might not like that person or know them at all, if someone in beating them up or fighting verbally, you know the right thing to do is go help that person. I mean yeah you might not know what they are fighting about, or their buisness, but its necessary to take action if you can tell that person is in need. i have found a time where i did stand up for some one and they appreciated it.which made me feel like i did the right thing. The things that get me mad is when i hear people gettin in fights and bullying people for absolutly no reason. i mean seriosuly come on.

people today....

when i read or hear news stories like these I feel like my heart stops. I feel so bad for the families and the kids that have/had to go through the things that were done to them. I sometimes think that teenagers dont know what choices they are making and the consequences that come along with it. I think that people should butt in when things are going wrong, or they sense something is going to go wrong. The girl from california is very upsetting to me. There were ten bystanders that could have made a difference in her life, but they chose not to. I have stuck up for a group/person that someone else was talking trash about. I had the best feeling in the world after, I feel like i made a big difference in someones life. When i don't stand up for someone I feel like crap, because i didn't help them or make a difference. I think that people today are starting to not care about other people and who they hurt. I'm not saying everyone is an ass but I've seen people stand around while someone else was getting yelled at, or getting their feelings hurt.
if people payed attention to all the bad that happens to others, others would watch their backs as well. i have been in some situations were I had to stand up fopr everyone someone else. they told me how much they appreciated it. later when i was in a situation that person helped me out.

short story/ nano,gano

I dont really like short stories, they squish a million details into a three page story. To me that is no a good story. I love long stories with a lot of details. I think the author of "The lady and The tiger" used fear by not telling who came out of the doors at the end of the story. Also "The cask of Amontillado" the author used fear by leading the jester into the dark dungeon while he was drunk. He had no idea what was happening until Fortunato chained him up to the wall and started putting the brick infront of him.

I am not doing nano or gano. I dont have enough time in my day to right 50,000 words or 8,000 words. I would have chosen to do this if i had more time. It is a good way to get writers to write without stopping and editing.

stupidstuffff

I think these stories are really stupid. The people who did the crime are idiots who will get nowhere in life. I also do not understand how people think. Why would they do these things to innocent people and their own friends? I believe we should do something if we see crimes like this happening. If someone asks for help, do something to help them. Don’t ignore someone who is being broken down when you know it. Even if we don’t know people, we should help them if they need it. There is not one person in the world that wouldn’t want help if they were being attacked. Though those people would just watch if someone else was doing the hurting. It would be a different story if you knew a victim or you were a victim.
The problem is, we don’t have manners anymore. These days our cultures have no morals, values, standards, or respect. Nobody cares. Everyone is selfish and worries only about themselves and what happens in their own lives and are perfectly fine with sitting back and watching bad things happen. When it comes to violence, other people’s business is our business. We should get involved but it’s embarrassing. No one wants to be seen helping another person.
I do defend people when they are being talked about. I respect how everyone is different, but other people cannot accept that fact. If some one has a hobby others don’t like, they make fun of them. I haven’t the slightest idea why. Whatever I'm done with this.
Mrs. Gaboury, as you stood in front of the class reading today’s blog to us I was kind of in awe. I mean I see that type of stuff happen in movies and even then I get mad because I just wonder how people could do such a thing, but to actually find out that people, kids even do things with no other purpose than to hurt another person is quite ridiculous. Making fun of someone is one thing but to physically go out and hurt someone is just unthinkable. The fact that people even get those thoughts in their head surprises me.
I honestly don’t know what bothers me more the fact that it happened or the fact that people stood there and watched. I must say I’m one who cares about people and tries to look out for certain people and I just can’t believe that no one even gotten help. I wonder if they regret not getting help now, if they wonder “hmm maybe if I did something about this, that person wouldn’t be so hurt..” I also wonder if the people who actually did it regret doing it. Do they have any feeling or guilt. How could you not? I guess some people just really don’t care and maybe that’s what bugs me the most.
I know I’m a NaNo kid, but I wanted to write this blog anyways.

I believe that if we see someone being treated unfairly, even if it’s not being beaten, but just teased, you should help them. I guess you could call me a humanitarian. I don’t care what you being put down, shoved into a wall, teased. And I always want to do something about it. But I’m not sure what I can do, until later, then I have so many “I could have done this, said this” thoughts, I feel sick with guilt. It might be because I used to be one of the kids who was teased a lot in elementary and middle school, who didn’t have many friends, or was friends with the more outspoken weirdoes. No one really stood up for us.

That doesn’t mean you should never get involved, it means you should be more conscientious about what’s happening to others, good or bad. We don’t get involved, I think, because we think something bad will happen to us too. Stand up to a bully, get teased and pushed around your self. It’s sad that we think like this. Admit it, we do. We all do. It scares that this is a world where kids, adults, are blurring that line between moral, and immoral, right and wrong, more so than it used to be. Some people think that it is okay not to do anything…at all in some cases, because this is what they see in the media, and around them. Maybe you just can’t stand this kid that’s being picked on, maybe you laugh at him with your ‘friends’, but don’t you feel like slime on the inside, like you’ve done something wrong? Just a little bit? What if you don’t? Are you going to teach your children that it’s okay to pick on people, or not care if there is something wrong with the world as a whole?

I’m not saying everyone is an asshole, here. There are lots of people who are good, honest people, innocent bystanders, and those who do stand up for others. But what if those bystanders don’t do anything when they see injustice? Are they still innocent? That’s not really for me to decide though.

there isn't really a time when i had to get involved and help someone. i hope that ill never have to because it would make me sick because i hate seeing people / children get hurt or abused.. there are many things that people could do besides torture someone else it isn't the way to solve your problems and the there should be some very harsh punishments for people who commit these crimes !!

what's your buisness?

This blog is very controversial. Should people but in? Or should people stand by and watch bad things happen. I don’t think I could have let myself do nothing if I was in one of these situations. I know if I was that girl then I would want someone to step in and help me. But on the other hand I understand why some people could just watch. I mean I guess they think “better them then me”. Or they think “why should I try and be a hero?’’ I guess they don’t realize that they could stop it, that they could honestly save someone’s life. To me that is worth the risk of getting hurt while trying to stop it.
Personally, I have not been exposed to a situation as scary as these. I have however, spoken up for someone who was getting bullied. Like someone who was getting teased or picked on in the halls. I believe in karma, big time. So I should treat others the way that I would like to be treated.

Short Stories and NaNo/GaNo

Todays' blog concerns the writing and reading of short stories.

Do you like short stories? Why? What makes a good short story? Do you like particular types of short stories? Discuss two short stories we have read and what techniques the author used to make you interested, think, fear, etc.

NaNo/GaNo is coming Sunday. Take a look at the website www.nanowrimo.org and see if it is interesting to you....Consider participating in GaNoWriMo (Gaboury's Novel Writing Month). A contract will be available Friday if you desire to join. Are you interesred at this point?

Enjoy!

Short Stories and NaNo/GaNo =]

I love short stories very much, although they’re much harder to understand and comprehend than novels, they’re cool because they leave you thinking and on your toes.
And I love when stories leave you thinking, and on your toes.
A really good well put together short story is one that leaves
the reader wondering what’s going to happen next and makes them begin to develop their own ideas and thoughts on what’s going to happen next, and one that keeps them guessing. One time in class we read "The Interlopers". The author of this short story tried to make the story very interesting by using the literary techniques such as irony, suspense, and conflict. In “The Interlopers” the author used irony by having all of the enemies in this short story die from wolves in the dreadful woods after the long time feud was finally over. Another short story that I enjoyed very much was “The Lady and the Tiger”. This short story kept me very interested in it because this story doesn’t really have an ending, because it doesn’t end up telling you what was supposed to happen. When short stories are like this one, you get to make up your own version on what happened at the end. I found that to be really cool to be able to do. So although short stories can be confusing and harder to comprehend than novels they’re still really fun and cool to read.

Also, I do not plan on doing NaNo/GaNo because even though it would be cool to write non-stop for a month, and
to be able to express yourself.. I don’t think id be able to dedicate that much time to doing it for a whole month! So
I’m going to pass on it this time, maybe next year i’ll do it
